I've stayed at the Sheraton before and know that it is well deserved. And as for Zappis.... Zappi's had been a huge part of my family's memories of the falls and were saddened when it closed in the 80's. The pizza was the best we'd ever had - and the restaurant had a nice local feel and was as much a part of our family trips as the falls themselves. In 2000 I was feeling nostalgic and I did a search for Zappi's and found an article about Albert Zappitelli mentioning the resaurant. On a fluke I found his email and wrote about my family's love of Zappi's and how much we missed it. He replied that I made his day. Not long after that, Zappi's made a comeback and Albert said I was part of the "spark" that made it happen. And now they've won an award!! See - the words we put out there can make a difference!!!
