A couple of weeks ago, the Lodge Near the Falls (which only had that name for 10 months) changed it’s name and sign to Country Hearth Inn & Suites. As you can see by the picture, they still haven’t changed the sign on top of the hotel.

I don’t have any idea why they changed their name again, but I would assume it had something to do with the blue sign using the “lodge” name that would confusing for an established name such as the Travelodge across the road.

Another reason may be that I believe Lodge Near the Falls was an independent name. Although not a huge chain, Country Hearth Inn & Suites is a chain, so there are benefits to promoting an established chain. That is aimple why they changed names. The old owner sold the property. I have phoned to the Hotel.
Thanks smoke, now we know why! I agree with Graham though, I think being an actual franchise chain which has a pretty firm grasp in the United States should help them draw a larger tourist base to the hotel.
