Tourism officials on the American side of the border are often crying the blues about Niagara Falls, Ont., getting the bigger slice of the tourism pie.
Yet, the American side has some fine attractions, from Goat Island to the Cave of the Winds to the Aquarium of Niagara.
An odd attraction is the Great American Balloon Ride, which carries visitors 400 feet in the air for a 360-degree view of the falls.

hi all..
we just got back from a few days in the falls..on tuesday 25th..we had just bought waffle cones at the bottom of the hill and went into the park to eat them..all of a sudden we heard all kinds of sirens..they were very close..like right across the street close..right in front of the spiderman/marvel museum..we had noticed a window washer earlier at the top of the sheraton..even commenting on how windy it was to do that…anyhow..turns out that his ropes got blown into the top of the pink panther ride and caught up in the orange ride..ripping all the bulbs off the top of the car (ride)…his ropes were all messed up and blowing around..he was on the 21st floor..by this time..there were countless rescue vehichles all over the bottom of clifton hill and 100’s of people looking up…they pulled the man to safety thru the window..we saw a reporter kinda looking man..camera..notebook and pen talking to the police and the fire rescue..i even told my daughter that maybe it was graham..but watched the news in the hotel..but nothing..i even called my son at home and told him to check the blog…anyhow..we have pics..but i have no idea how to enter them here…it was an exciting but scary hour or so..and believe it or not..the windows were getting washed again on wednesday..

This is funny to me just because WAY before Vegas started using it, my friends and I have always said to each other “what happens in Niagara Falls, stays in Niagara Falls”. Good times, Good times…
