Well, it\’s great to see one defunct attraction come back. It used to be near the Haunted House on Clifton Hill but it was closed and demolished in 2000 when the Sheraton expanded. So Louis Tussaud\’s has been absent for 4 years util now. What\’s the deal with leases anyway? Why do they run out and can\’t be renewed? The same thing happened with a few other attractions in the Clifton Hill area, Circus World, etc. Does that maen that any attraction can disappear or change at anytime? I know a few attractions on Clifton Hill have been there for years, like the Haunted House, Castle Dracula, House of Frankenstein, Ripley\’s Believe It or Not!, and Movieland (moved). Do you think those attractions have a good chance of surviving?
I think most owners are trying to run their own attractions, not lease out space. I would think that almost any place that is successfully run by its owner will last.
